Quick Step Guide – Managing Users In Pontem

Add a New User

  1. Log in as the System Administrator using ‘SYSDBA’ login. (contact your system admin. or Pontem Help Desk for password)
  2. Select Edit | Adjust Preferences | Security | Users.
  3. Click New User.
  4. Type in the User Name, Password and Confirm Password. Click OK.
  5. Highlight the User Name in the list to assign the appropriate rights; click Groups.
  6. Assign the Group by moving it to the right under This Users Groups. Click OK.
  7. Click OK to close the ‘Preferences’ tab and save the record.

Change a User’s Password

  1. Log in as the System Administrator using SYSDBA login.  (contact your system admin. or Pontem Help Desk for password)
  2. Select Edit | Adjust Preferences | Security | Users.
  3. Click Edit User.
  4. Type in the Password and Confirm Password. Click OK.
  5. Click OK to close the ‘Preferences’ tab and save the record.

Change a User’s Group Rights

  1. Log in as the System Administrator using SYSDBA login.  (contact your system admin. or Pontem Help Desk for password)
  2. Select Edit | Adjust Preferences | Security | Users.
  3. Highlight the User Name in the list to assign the appropriate rights; click Groups.
  4. Assign the Group by moving it to the right under This Users Groups. Click OK.
  5. Click OK to close the ‘Preferences’ tab and save the record.
